Cub scouts

Logan had his downhill derby for cub scouts on Saturday morning. All the kids had a nice time but we discovered that we had a lot to learn about building a race car. Savannah took 3rd in the sibling races. Logan actually won a prize for coming in 2nd place in the entire group for the "slug off" the slowest car of the day!! Didn't seem to bother him much when he got 5 free bowling passes! :)
At the end of the races they let Logan and Savannah race each other. That is her pink blur speeding past Logan's truck!

Army training

We found out Monday and confirmed on Tuesday that Jared was to attend 2 different army trainings this month. He is away at camp Roberts for the first which is all small arms training. He is loving it. He is getting the opportunity to qualify on 8 new weapons. It definitely sparking is desire to go active again.
He will be home for 3 shirt days before heading to Utah for a leadership training for 2 weeks. Pretty much the last step before his promotion to sgt.

I got Jared a pair of free tickets to the Sharks game tonight!!! He is there with his friend Jason right now :)

Last night I got to go out with a great group of friends to celebrate January birthdays!!! (Brandi,Laurie,Ashleigh) We have been doing this birthday dinner routine for over 2 years and it so nice to get out kid free every once in a while and just laugh!!! :)

I was so proud of my sweet Logan today. He has such a kind heart. Charlotte was shivering when we got to the grocery store this afternoon. Logan spotted her and without saying a word he took off his sweater, wrapped it around Char and then knelt down and zipped it up for her. I was so proud I got out my phone and snap a picture. Then I asked him won't you be cold now? Ge answered, "probably, but now my HEART is warm!"
