A Richardson Christmas!

We had such a wonderful time on saturday in Sacramento. We had an early Christmas with the Richardson side of the family. Aunt Marie and Uncle Brian were here from San Diego. We started our day at Grandma and Grandpa's where the kids got to open Christmas presents from Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Cari, and Uncle Chris and Auntie Alicia. So much fun. Logan got some legos, clothes, wii game, and transformers. Savannah got clothes, barbies, and easy bake oven and more. Charlotte got an fun elephant from Cari and cute clothes.

Then we went to Great Grandma's house for a yummy dinner. Almost all of the family was there. It was nice to see Brian and Marie whom we don't get a chance to spend time with very often. Kriston and I had a lot of laughs at the table with Lori and Marie. The kids got even more presents there. Cousin Sam, Brian and Marie, and Al and Ruth got them some really great gifts including Barbies, rc truck, speedway racer, baby steering wheel, guitar, eeyore, and polly pocket play set. Charlotte loved to try and eat the boxes and all the paper. Jared got guitar hero world tour and I got a lovely top and necklace.

It was a nice day with family and I wish it happened more frequently!

Thanksgiving time with family!

Wow, this year just seems like it has flown by. Thanksgiving came and went so quickly! I had a great time making some fun cupcakes for our Mops meeting on tuesday. Then on wednesday when Logan got out of school the kids and I headed to GG and Cowboy Papa's house. Jared came much later after work. We had quite an eventful "thanksgiving eve" that ended with Jared and Josh(my brother) catching the teen that broke into my mom's car. He had also broken into other cars in the neighborhood. Long but funny story short they ended up getting the teen, his brother, and his Mom all put in jail that night! Betcha didn't know we had CrimeFighters in the family! Thanksgiving comparitivly was rather uneventful. Just a nice time to sit and enjoy being with family. Charlotte ate some mashed potato and then when I let her taste sweet potato she couldn't get enough, she was screaming at me to hurry up!

My grandparents watched the kids for a while on friday morning so Jared and I could do a little shopping. Then we headed home to Modesto.

On saturday we went down to Sacramento. Brian, Nicole, and lil miss Katelyn were still down from Idaho and we went to give Katelyn her Christmas presents. She loved the ball pit that her Uncle Jared picked out for her. The kids also opened their presents from Uncle Brian and Auntie NIcole. Logan got Wall E, and a hot wheels city. Savannah got really fun purple dress up stuff, and Charlotte got a very cute outfit! It was a very fun day!! We finished it off with Merrill and Kriton coming over so all of us 20 somethings and kiddos (minus Logan) went out to do a little shopping in Roseville. The girls and babies went to babies r us and old navy while the guys and Savannah hit sportmans. Then we all met up at the Galleria. I had a great time talking with Kriston or the drive over and while we were shopping. We drove back to Modesto late that night.

We finished off the weekend on sunday by getting out all of the Christmas decorations and setting them up. Then we had a nice dinner with the Willeys and the Conners. It had been such a long time since we all had dinner at the Willey's together. Such a nice night to spend with good friends!

So, as you can see we seem to have gotten as much as we could into our holiday weekend. We are truly BLESSED!!!

Logan's Kitty!

So we finally got Logan a new kitty. A friend had a stray leave her kittens on their porch. We decided to take one in. Don't know much about her yet, I would like to find out what breed she is. Logan wants to call her speed racer, let you know if that name sticks! hehehe

School

Logan is enjoying school. He told me he likes 4 different girls!! But can't even remember their names. Today was Crazy Hair Day! Logan was excited to style his hair this morning, when I dropped him off his looked a lot like the Principal, Mr. Cole. He's got a nice mohawk with red and gold glitter paint in it. We should be getting a report card next week and we have a parent teacher conference on the 17th. Let you all know how it goes....

The sweetest flower!

We had a great time this year. We went to The Conners ( good friends) for dinner and trick or treating! The kids had a great time. We weren't out too long, little feet got tired quickly! Logan was Thomas the train, Savannah was a Princess, Charlotte was a flower, and our friend Leah was Tinkerbell.

pumpkin patch

We went to Rezindez Family Fruit Barn on October 21st. I was a fun afternoon. Our Mops group all attended together around 30 kids. We went a little early and had a nice picnic with some of our friends. Then we started the tour.... the kids got to feed fish in the pond, look at the waterfall, plant baby broccoli(we get to pick it up after harvest), pet some animals, go through a kid sized hay maze, tour the store, get a treat from the bakery, pick out a pumpkin in the patch, and finish it all off with a goody bag! Such a fun day!

Today we went to a small Harvest Festival in Oakdale. It was fun. They had a nice pond, a petting zoo, craft stands and music. Logan got a new alpaca sweater. He loves it! Savannah picked out 2 new necklaces. Charlotte got 2 new hair clips. I got a new tea cup, perfect for our MOPS tea. Jared took the kids into the petting zoo and they really enjoyed feeding the llama.

Yummy

Charlotte had her first taste of baby cereal today. She hated it until I mashed some banana into it. Then, she couldn't get enough!

Jared should be heading back to work this week after being laid off in August! Hopefully he does not have a broken foot. He was accidentally hit with the metal scoop on the back hoe out here on the farm last week. OUCH! He will be working with my Dad again at a new company. We are hoping for big things to happen for them.

I am keeping busy on the steering team for two different Mops (mothers of preschoolers) groups. I am finding it pretty easy adjusting to having 3 children now. The worst part... more laundry! haha

Logan is loving kindergarten. His teacher is very nice, young with two kids around the same age as the girls. He is making a lot of new friends and Mrs. Avila tells us he is a great student. Logan lost his first tooth about a month ago. He was so excited when the tooth fairy left him a whole dollar! He is excited for Halloween and will be Thomas the train again this year. It was his costume 2 years ago and he just won't part with it!

Savannah thinks she needs to be going to school too. She says her "school" is when she goes to childcare at mops. She has really grown into a "girl" these past few month since the baby came home. She is enjoying playing with dolls and loves to play dress up now. Savannah pride and joy is her long hair! We have to bribe her to put in a ponytail. She loves it down, blowing in the wind, and the feeling on her face. I don't think she will ever let us cut it! Savannah is also getting excited about Halloween and she, believe it or not, is going to be a Barbie princess!

Charlotte is growing so fast. She has quite a personality now and while she may look like her sister, she reminds me of Logan as a baby. She moved into Savannahs room last week and sleeps in her very own crib now. I was surprised that Savannah did not put up any protest to sharing her room. Charlotte looks so tiny in that big crib. She still loves her swing but is really beginning to enjoy her exersaucer. She has figured out how to turn herself around and likes to sit in it next to the fish tank so she can watch them too. We are at the stage now where she is out going her 0-3month clothes and it makes me a little sad. She is due for her next dr. apt and we will get an update on her umbillical hernia. It looks much better than it did a few months ago, that is very promising. Charlotte is going to be a flower for Halloween!

I can't leave you without an update on the puppys! Harley and Nova are growing into two of the most beautiful dogs ever. We are working with them both on more basic training. Harley is doing better because of his mellow nature. Not to mention that he is probably 15-20 lbs heavier than his sister now. Nova is so hyper and will take much more time and energy to train. She is also in love with the neighbors Rott. Ty, the Rott, and NOva take turns breaking out of their yards and going to the others house. We only know when Nova gets out because Harley cries, cuz he can't fit out of the hole she made!
